  5.  ABOUT COLLEGE FUNDING FINDER

  7.      College Funding Finder is an alternative student financial
  8.  aid database which tracks over 350 alternative student
  9.  financial aid sources offering over 6,000 different student
  10.  financial aid programs including scholarships, grants, low-
  11.  interest loans, no-interest loans, fellowships and internships.  
  12.  In addition to helping students locate sources of financial 
  13.  aid, College Funding Finder provides the student with 
  14.  comprehensive funding information AND personalized application 
  15.  request letters which reduce the effort required by the student 
  16.  to get the necessary applications for these aid programs.  A 
  17.  guide with tips for applying to these funds is also supplied 
  18.  to the student.
  19.      College Funding Finder is intended for use by anyone 
  20.  planning on paying for an education whether it is trade school,
  21.  college, graduate school or academic research.  There are even
  22.  programs for high school students in College Funding Finder's
  23.  database.
  24.      College Funding Finder was developed at the University 
  25.  of San Diego and is endorsed by John Hancock Financial Services 
  26.  of San Diego, CA.

  28.  HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  29.  
  30.      College Funding Finder requires an 80286 machine or better
  31.  with at least 256k of RAM, a monochrome video card, a hard disk
  32.  drive with at least 1 megabyte of space available and DOS Version 
  33.  2.0 or higher.

  35.  INSTALLATION
  36.      
  37.  NOTE: The following instructions are for installing College Funding
  38.        Finder from a diskette to a hard drive.  You may also use the
  39.        INSTALL.BAT program to install College Funding Finder from
  40.        one directory on a hard drive to another directory on a hard
  41.        drive.  This is useful if you have downloaded this program
  42.        from a BBS in a archive file format (such as CFF43.ZIP) and 
  43.        wish to set it up on your hard drive.

  45.      Place the College Funding Finder diskette in any disk drive.
  46.  At the drive's prompt [EX. 'A:\'] type:
  47.  
  48.  'INSTALL [drive letter]:'
  49.  
  50.  where drive letter is the letter of the hard disk you wish to 
  51.  install to.  For example,
  52.  
  53.  'INSTALL C:'
  54.  
  55.  will install College Funding Finder on the 'C:' hard drive.
  56.      College Funding Finder's files are compressed and will
  57.  take a few moments to expand.  The installation program will
  58.  create the 'CFF' subdirectory on your hard disk.  It will 
  59.  place College Funding Finder's data and program files into
  60.  that subdirectory.  Once in the 'CFF' subdirectory, type
  61.  'CFF' followed by 'ENTER' to run College Funding Finder.
